«My teaching method is based on a principle taught to me by my "master" Orazio Costa Giovangigli (at one of our meetings at his house in Rome, in viale Parioli n. 10, with his ninety-year-old mother):
- "... train actors and actresses who are, indeed, fairly good, fairly well prepared technically, but the important thing is that by means of the theatre we can train them as genuine individuals! This happens through the growth of existential values, and the attitude to the Divine that permeates all things and all people." So the idea is to train young people who can give their personal answers to life in this twenty-first century;
- create in them a personal conviction of life prepared to give genuine answers to the external (often artificial) world;
- the mass media, for instance, render ideas foggy and "impose" behaviour, preventing the young from being "free" to develop their inner resources; rather, they are often obliged tacitly to follow the masses, without being able to enter into dialogue, or to offer their own opinion to the outside world.
- propose to the young that they reactivate their own inner world, with their own instinctive emotions and ideas in the pure state, linked to a superior-interior truth, nexus between terrestrial and absolute truth.
- Beauty is in the Truth of things, in the human mind and human behaviour; it is not only an aesthetic concept but also, and principally, an ethical one.»
